Cool Vintage Indian Made Leather Belt/Silver Buckle?Painted/Parflesche Style

Description:

We have up for auction a cool looking Indian style hand made belt and custom buckle. We believe the leather belt was painted by a Native American here in Arizona but we have no way to prove it. We found the belt in the back of an Antique store where you could hardly see it. The belt is 51 inches long to the back of the buckle and the buckle is 3 and 1/2 inches wide by 2 and 1/2 inches high and made of what looks like silver with a brass design in the middle and stamped on the back "Custom Made". We did not clean the buckle at all so someone must have cleaned it recently or the brass might be gold but no way of testing it........

The belt is painted nicely and looks much like Indian Parflesche Bags. We live very near an Apache Indian reservation but can't say for sure if it was Apache made. The back of the buckle is stamped "Custom Made" and the belt has been worn as you can see above but it is still in good solid shape and ready to wear if you wanted for years to come. It is a one of a kind belt and we have never seen another one like it..............

Would make a great belt for a Native American or anyone that collects Native American Art.
